Caring For Cambodia
Last summer our family went on a big trip to asia. We went to Singapore, Bali, and Cambodia. After a week in Bali, our family had to go to Cambodia. My brother Connor couldnt go to Cambodia because he had ODP soccer camp. He headed back to Oregon the day before my mom, dad, and I headed of to Cambodia. We took a plane to Singapore and then to Cambodia. Once we got there we had a taxi take us to our fancy hotel.
On the second day we headed to a school where the kids who cant affored regular school go. This school was built on the donation and help of very caring people. Once we got to the first school we helped serve breakfast out of this HUGE pot of soup. Once we served all the soup, we got a tour of the class rooms. The school is definetly ALOT less fancy, and nothing like a school in Lake Oswego but it was nice to see how things can be made with the littlest amout of donations.
The next day we headed out to a different one of these schools. But instead of serving breakfast we were digging out a ditch and sanding the ground in for putting down bricks. It was very hard work doing all this but when I was done, i felt like i had done a great deed.
In this video you will see some of the kids we saw. It is wonderful to see.
